During the progress of the second experiment, while I have collected many meaningful and great data, which proved mindfulness is helpful and effective in improving pain tolerance, I forgot to think about the control group for this experiment. Because of that, I added this newly created plan to the experiment, which is using the same people, the same procedure but without the mindfulness part. Instead of doing mindfulness, I am going to ask people to sit there doing nothing for three minutes. With this control group, it will help me to conclude and assure whether mindfulness is actually effective.
